We manage a concentrated portfolio of high quality business that we believe can produce above average returns over the long-term. Our portfolio companies are typically uncorrelated to one another and offer various risk-return profiles that provide diversification while still allowing our capital to be concentrated into our best ideas. We typically hold anywhere between 10-15 positions at any given time in our public markets portfolio and 3-5 positions in our private market portfolio.

Biography:
Daniel Fas is a San Diego native and the founder of Seaside Private Capital (SPC). Daniel created SPC as an investment firm with a mandate to invest, manage, and grow his family's personal assets. Daniel is a disciplined value investor who seeks to buy assets trading below their intrinsic value. He has a long-term approach to investing and lives by the principles of famous value investors such as Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffet, and Seth Klarman. Daniel has generated a successful track record by applying a fundamental value investment approach in both the public and private markets.

Experience:
Daniel's work history includes corporate development (M&A), real estate private equity, commercial real estate lending, construction lending, and C&I lending. Most recently, Daniel served as a Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Lending at Banc of California (NYSE: BANC), a publicly traded regional bank.
